Firefighter Lipphard receives Defense of Freedom Medal
Firefighter Lipphard was recently presented the Defense of Freedom Medal from the Secretary of the Army.  While working as a civilian contractor in IRAQ, Bill was severely wounded when his tanker truck that he was driving was destroyed by enemy fire.  The other personnel in the truck were killed.  Prior to being hit, Bill's actions prevented other enemy attackers from attacking the truck in front of his thus saving American lives.  His nomination for this award came from an Army Lt. in IRAQ.  The Defense of Freedom Medal is equivalent to the Silver Star for military personnel.
