| November 12th, 2009. At 0800 hours Station 3, IVT 38, and Rescue Squad 9 (Reese) were alerted for a vehicle collision with rescue in front of 1826 Ridge Road. Units arrived to find a utility van that had collided with a school bus. The driver of the van was found to be trapped. The driver was extricated and flown to Shock Trauma. |  |
November 11th, 2009.
Carroll County is mourning the loss of one of its finest. Charles Isaac Cartwright, of Union Bridge, MD died in Afghanistan while serving with the Marine Corps. Charlie was the son of Assistant Chief Mike Cartwright, Union Bridge Fire Company.
November 11, 2009- The Officer's and Member's of Westminster Fire Engine & Hose Co. 1 would like to wish all our members of the Military both past and present a Happy Veterans Day. Thank you for protecting our freedom. Also we would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the families of those who lost their lives in Fort Hood, TX last week.

October 27th 2009. At 0949 hours Westminster and surrounding units were alerted for an odor of gas at Taco Bell. LT. 9-3 was first arriving finding smoke in the structure. Engine 32 arrived moments after and observed smoke coming from the rear of the structure. Fire was found in the door frame and walls. Units quickly controlled the fire and held with equipment from Westminster and Reese for overhaul. |
