 April 3rd, 2010. Frederick County Communications alerted companies for an apartment fire on Main Street in Emmitsburg. Units arrived to find a 3 story apartment complex with fire and smoke showing. Tower 3 was added to the the call and responded with 4. Tower 3's crew assisted with opening up the roof and overhaul.

Afternoon House Fire
March 8th, 2010. At 1355 hours Station 3 and surrounding companies were alerted to go to Wisteria Drive for a reported house fire. Engine 32 arrived to find smoke showing from the front of a rancher and fire coming from the back door. Crews deployed 2 attack lines and started to knock the fire in the basement. Tower 3 arrived and placed multiple ground ladders then went inside to do a search. During operations two firefighters fell threw the floor they were standing on when it gave way. Both were removed from the dwelling and checked out by awaiting EMS, later returning to the fire ground uninjured. Units operated for approximately 3 hours before returning to service.

Early Morning Auto Fire
  March 8th, 2010. Around 0230 hours Station 3 was alerted for an unknown type of fire in the Avendale apartment complex. Engine 32 arrived to find a vehicle with fire showing from the truck and back passenger area. Fire was extinguished without incident.

Barn Fire on Kriders Church Road...

   

March 7th, 2010.

             Shortly before 1pm, units were alerted for a barn fire in the area of Route 97 and Kriders Church Road. Engine 32 arrived to find a large barn well involved. Units operated on scene for 2 hours, unfortunately the barn was a total loss.

Small Fire then Multiple Patients on PI

February 21st, 2010. Company 3 and surrounding companies were alerted for a deck fire on Wyndtryst Drive. Engine 32 arrived and reported a 2 story dwelling with nothing evident from side alpha. As command started a 360 degree size up, fire was observed coming from the second floor deck. Crews made entry and made a quick knock with a hook and can. Command held with company 3 units to overhaul the deck and remove the burnt siding.

Shortly after returning to quarters, Engine 32 and Medic 37 were alerted for a vehicle collision with multiple injured at Rt. 140 and Malcolm Drive. A total of 3 patients were transported with 1 patient going to Sinai Hospital and 2 patients to Carroll Hospital.
