Kitchen Fire on Fair Avenue
   July 22, 2010. At 2116 hours Station 3 and surrounding units were alerted for a reported house fire. Engine 32 arrived to find smoke showing from a one story family dwelling. Chief 3 assumed the command and crews stretched a line to the rear of the dwelling. Tower 3's crew made entry and found a small fire involving the kitchen area. Crews made quick work of the fire and stayed on scene for a short time overhauling and clearing up hot spots.

Fatal Collison on Route 27...

 

 

July 20th, 2010. Shortly After 7:30am units were alerted for a vehicle collision with rescue in the area of Route 27 and Kate Wagner Road. Engine 32 and Medic 38 arrived to find a multiple vehicle collision involving a car vs. trash truck head-on.

Unusual Rescue
 July 10, 2010. At 1411 hours IVT 38, Station 3, and Rescue Squad 9 (Reese) were alerted for a subject stuck in a tree. Tower 3, Engine 32, and IVT 38 arrived to find a patient stuck in a tree approx. 15 feet in the air. The patient was cutting a large tree branch down, when it fell and landed on him. The male then became entangled in the tree unable to free himself. Crews utilized Tower 3's bucket to remove the patient from the tree and transported him to awaiting EMS. Units were back in service within the hour.

Small fire at KFC...

 July 7th, 2010. Shortly before 11am, Engine 32 and Tower 3 were clearing a call in "The Greens" when they were advised of a building fire at KFC on Mall Ring Road. Both units responded as well as Medic 38 and Engine 33 from the station. Engine 33 arrived to find a single story restaurant with fire showing from an exterior wall. Engine 33 extinguished the fire on the exterior while Engine 32 made entry to the building to check for extension and Tower 3 checked the roof. Minimal extension was found inside. The assignment was held with E33, E32, TWR3, T2, RS9. Units were in service within an hour.

Farm Equipment Starts Field Fire
   June 3rd, 2010.  Around 1600 hours Engine 32, Brush 35, and Engine 91 (Reese) were alerted for a field fire with farm equipment involved. Units arrived to find a large amount of the field on fire, a piece of equipment, and numerous round bails. A brush task force was requested to help with extinguishment. Units operated for just under two hours.
